Lebron James
The Lakers fall to the Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets gentlemen's sweep Lebron and the Lakers.

After losing to the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers now look to next season. D'Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Spencer Dinwiddie and Taurean Prince don't seem like they belong on this Lakers team, and if LA wants to keep Lebron they will have to upgrade their 9 man rotation. Anthony Davis and Lebron James looked sensational this series despite only winning 1 game. But now the question is, Where will Lebron James play in 2024?

We have yet to get a clear answer from Lebron himself on if he will stay with the Lakers or move on. When asked last night in the post game press conference if he will stay in LA, 'King' James stated "I'm not going to answer that."

What should Lebron do? That is entirely up to Lebron but staying in LA where the front office has showed you the past 6 seasons they do not want to bring you in a 3rd superstar is tough. The team is not perfectly built around Lebron and the way he plays. If you go around the Western Conference you will see that the Nuggets, Mavericks, Timberwolves and Thunder are all built around the teams star player, Jokic, Luka, Ant, and Shai respectively. The only teams still built as a super team rather then a complete team are the Clippers, Suns, and perhaps the Pelicans. The era of super teams is over and now it is about building around one guy and making sure he has all of the pieces around him to be great.

It has been reported by multiple news sites that the Lakers are interested in drafting Bronny James out of USC. This would obviously mean that Lebron would stay in LA. However, the Lakers pick behind the Miami Heat and the 76er's two teams that will try to lure Lebron in free agency.

Lebron has played for Erik Spoelstra before and continues to have high praise for the coach so it's a possible landing spot. The Heat are a team that could easily develop Bronny as they have done with so many players. Perhaps, Lebron would prefer his son goes to a team that will develop him rather then a Lakers team that has an uncertain future at head coach.

The Sixers are a team that has always been in the running for Lebron. With Embiid and Maxey, Lebron joins a powerful center, and a All-Star guard. The only issue with the Sixers is the ability for the team to remain healthy for the playoffs. Lebron may not want to enter that situation knowing that Embiid may not make it to the Finals healthy.

The Warriors are another team that is always trying to lure Lebron. The Warriors are in a tough spot, they could rebuild and get rid of Draymond Green and Klay Thompson or they can bring everyone back. It is time for the Warriors to let Green and Klay go and perhaps bring in Bronny and Lebron. Lebron would remain in California, a place he seems to not want to leave, while Bronny would be able to shine defensively with Curry opposite of him.

Last but not least the Cavaliers should at least get a mention in this article. Cleveland if eliminated will be in a tough spot and Lebron would be walking into a team with a lot of weapons. Mobley, Allen, Garland, and Lebron would be a great 4. It all depends on what the Cav's decide to do with Donovan Mitchell and of course if Lebron would want to go back for a 3rd time.

Darvin Ham is most likely not going to be the Lakers head coach in 2024/2025 so it begs the question, who will replace him? Who would Lebron want to play for?
