SGA, OKC's fierce Point-Guard, NBA All-Star.

The Thunder organization made one of it's best moves in 2019 when they traded for Shai Gilgeous Alexander. Shai is having his best season ever, and will soon be voted an ALL-NBA Player. Shai has gone from being cut by his high school team, to leading the young Thunder squad to a 36-36 record and potential playoff birth. OKC fans a lucky and happy to have such a young ferocious player like SGA, his base stat line for 2023 has propelled the team to new heights and has him as a front-runner for MIP;

PTS: 31.4 (4th) REB 4.8 (87th) AST 5.5 (30th) FG% 51.0 (35th)

It's clear to us at Sports Vibes that SGA is the clear most improved player, but honestly, he's the peoples MVP. For him to take a rebuilding team such as the Thunder to the playoffs is impressive. Without SGA the Thunder are in conversation for Victor Wembanyama.

Shai is grateful that the Clippers traded him to OKC, in a recent documentary for NBA League pass he revealed his thoughts on the 2019 trade, “I honestly think [Getting traded to Oklahoma City] is one of the better things to happen in my career. I have so much fun playing basketball in this organization.”

Shai has been able to beat the likes of Luka and Lebron all while making it look effortless. Steve Nash showed some appreciation for SGA's game earlier this week saying he love's Shai's game. Steph Curry also showed SGA love earlier this year.

“We had our first experience with him in that Clippers series,” Warriors star Stephen Curry said. “He’s shifty. He plays at his own pace. Nobody can rush him. He’s tall enough to shoot over you. He’s good at drawing fouls. We knew coming into the game he was going to make tough shots. That’s what he does. He ended up with 31 after having two in the first quarter.” (via The Athletic’s Anthony Slater)

It's clear that Shai is turning heads all around the league, and proving to OKC he can be the leader of the Thunder organization, perhaps taking the team to new heights they haven't seen in many years. Shai leads the Thunder into a tough end of season stretch against the Clippers, Lakers, Blazers, Hornets, Pistons, Pacers, Suns, Warriors, Jazz, and lastly the Memphis Grizzlies.
