AJ Dybantsa is a physically advanced, high-usage wing who plays the game with confidence and composure well beyond his age. At 6’9” he has a strong frame and is most dangerous when attacking downhill. His ability to absorb contact and live at the free-throw line separates him from most freshman scorers. With the ball in his hands, AJ is a true offensive focal point, capable of creating his own shot in isolation and punishing defenders who give him a straight-line drive. His scoring pressure opens the floor for teammates, and while he isn’t a pure playmaker, he consistently makes the right reads when defenses collapse. AJ’s offensive impact shows up in both volume and efficiency, highlighted by elite usage and advanced metrics that reflect his value as a primary option. His three-point shot is still developing and needs work. However, his willingness to take big shots combined with his ability to score efficiently without relying solely on jump shooting gives him a high offensive floor. Being only 19, his combination of size, production, and comfort carrying an offense makes him one of the most impactful young wings in college basketball, with clear upside as his shooting consistency and defensive focus continue to improve.
