The 2024 NFL Draft has come to an end and now it is time to decide the 3 winners of the Draft. It all started off Thursday when the Chicago Bears selected Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze, but what other teams made amazing selections as the draft went on? We dive into all things NFL Draft:
#1 Chicago Bears
Picks:
USC - (QB) - Caleb Williams (No. 1 overall)
Washington - (WR) - Rome Odunze (No. 9)
Yale - (OT) - Kiran Amegadjie (No. 75)
Iowa - (P) - Tory Taylor (No. 122)
Kansas - (DE) - Austin Booker (No. 144)
Overall Sports Vibes Grade:
A+
Although the Chicago Bears only had 4 picks going into the draft they were able to come out of the draft with 5 great selections. They start the night off with the elite prospect Caleb Williams, and then get him a young WR to work with for years to come, Washington Huskie, Rome Odunze. Going into day 2 they snag an offensive linemen for some much needed depth. On day 3 they get the most sought out special teams player in the draft, Tory Taylor, while capping off their 2024 draft class with Austin Booker whom they traded back into the draft for. If you are a Bears fan this is about all you could hope for from GM Ryan Poles, you could make a point that they waited to long for Edge, but they addressed all 5 needs on the team with this class.
#2 Los Angeles Rams
Picks:
Florida State - (DE) - Jared Verse (No. 19 overall)
Florida State - (DT) - Braden Fiske (No. 39)
Michigan - (RB) - Blake Corum (No. 83)
Miami - (DB) - Kamren Kinchens (No. 99)
Washington State - (DE) - Brennan Jackson (No. 154)
Clemson - (DT) -Tyler Davis (No. 196)
Stanford - (K) - Joshua Karty (No. 209)
Texas - (WR) - Jordan Whittington (No. 213)
Arkansas - (C) - Beaux Limmer (No. 217)
Kansas State - (OT) - KT Leveston (No. 254)
Overall Sports Vibes Grade:
A
The Rams came into the draft with 2 options, take a QB and look forward to the post Matt Stafford era or rebuild their defense all in one class. That is what they did, they took 3/4 of their top 100 picks and spent them on quality players who could all start for the Rams week 1. Jared Verse is one of the most underrated defensive prospects in this class, and will provide them with some great play post Aaron Donald era. The only reason why the Rams don't get a A+ is because of the Brennan Jackson pick. Had this team went WR, QB or OL there it would have been an A+ class.
#3 Philadelphia Eagles
Picks:
Toledo - (DB) - Quinyon Mitchell (No. 22 overall)
Iowa - (DB) - Cooper DeJean (No. 40)
Houston Christian - (LB) - Jalyx Hunt (No. 94)
Clemson - (RB) - Will Shipley (No. 127)
Texas A&M - (WR) - Ainias Smith (No. 152)
Clemson - (LB) - Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (No. 155)
Michigan - (OG) - Trevor Keegan (No. 172)
Florida State - (WR) - Johnny Wilson (No. 185)
N.C. State - (C) - Dylan McMahon (No. 190)
Overall Sports Vibes Grade:
A
The Eagles draft class is an impressive one, from trading up with the in division Commanders for Cooper DeJean to selecting a potentially future great NFL LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. The Eagles set a record for the most trades on draft day yet still come out looking fully reloaded. This is a team that allowed 30 passing touchdowns and needed new DB's to come in and help stop the bleeding. They addressed the offense a little too late to earn a A+ but picking up Johnny Wilson at 185 was a steal. They only pick we don't like here is the Jalyx Hunt pick.
