John Harbaugh has decided quite fast where he wants to spend the rest of his coaching career. The former Super Bowl winning head coach decided that he will be joining the Giants organization on Thursday morning.

This hiring comes after reports that Giants GM, Joe Schoen, wanted to make a huge spalsh at the coaching postion. A story came out earlier in the week that former Giants head coach, Brian Daboll, called John on his cell and raved about the job.

John Harbaugh's final record with the Baltimore Ravens after 18 seasons (2008-2025) was 180-113 in the regular season, leading the team to 12 playoff appearances, four AFC Championship games, and the biggest accomplishment of them all, a victory in Super Bowl XLVII.

The New York Giants finished 4-13 in the 2025 season. Ownership fired Brian Daboll and retained Joe Schoen, making for an interesting offseason. The Giants do have something that Harbaugh is familiar with and that is a 'Dual-Threat' quarterback.

A big reason for Harbaugh committing to the Giants is that he believes that organization is primed for a playoff run. With young building blocks such as Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Andrew Thomas, Abdul Carter and veteran Brian Burns, the sky is the limit for the Harbaugh led Giants. New York will pick 5th in the upcoming draft, their needs are OL, CB, LB and WR/TE. With picks, stars, and his staff it will be interesting to see how quick John can turn the struggling G-Men around.

Current starting QB of the Giants, Jaxson Dart, as well as Cam Skattebo are escatic about the news of Harbaugh being their new leader. Giant fans will wake up to the news and surely be excited for this new era of New York Giant football.
