'The Great American Race' was scheduled to take place at 2:30pm on FOX, but due to inclement weather has been delayed to Monday, 4:00pm.
In the past, NASCAR will wait the whole day, but so far this season NASCAR has been giving fans enough of a notice to be prepared. Now that the race is on Monday it is sure to see a drop in viewership, however it will still be live on the main FOX channel, so perhaps it won't dip too far. The 66th annual Daytona 500 was 'sold out' for Sunday. The Xfinity race that was scheduled for Saturday was also delayed to Monday (11:00pm), so now Monday will be a double header at Daytona.
The only celebrity guest staying for Monday will be Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who will be giving the command for the race. DJ Khaled and Pitbull who were scheduled to appear, did on Sunday but will not on Monday. Pitbull will be doing the 2025 Pre-Race Concert now instead.
Joey Logano, a former Daytona 500 Champion, will lead the field to green with another Daytona 500 Champion by his side, Michael McDowell. The race will feature drivers such as, Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR Hall of Famer), Chase Elliott (NASCAR Most Popular Driver), Ryan Blaney (2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion), and Ricky Stenhouse Jr (Defending Daytona 500 Champion).
Here is when the Green drops for both races: Xfinity 11:01am ET on FS1 (on air at 11am) Daytona 500 4:30pm ET (on air at 4pm).
Who do you think will win the 66th running of the Daytona 500?
