After a delayed start due to weather, NASCAR began it's coverage of the Advent Health 400, making it a day to night race. Kyle Larson came out on top, winning the closest finish ever in NASCAR history.
Stage 1 featured a back and forth duel between Ross Chastain and Kyle Larson, and Stage 2 featured a battle between Chris Buescher and Denny Hamlin. In the 3rd stage, yellow flags started flying and shaking up the race. A late race caution brought everyone to pit road and allowed Kyle Larson to get a great restart. Coming to the line it was Larson door to door with Buescher.
There was controversy, Chris Buescher and his team began celebrating thinking that they won, but NASCAR said minutes later that it was Kyle Larson who won by a 0.001 margin. Kyle Larson is no stranger to winning races after someone else celebrates, at Daytona a few years ago, Kyle Larson got the victory in the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 by .005 seconds, and was proclaimed the winner after Justin Haley thought he had won.
In his post race interview with FOX, Kyle Larson said, " I hope we get more 1.5 tracks on the schedule...". That is a sentence that no one would've said 10 years ago. It seems as though the drivers and fans agree that the Next Gen car is best on mile and a half racetracks.
Advent Health 400 Top 5:

NASCAR continues to have a great season for finishes and OMG moments. Next week, NASCAR rolls into Darlington for 'Throwback Weekend', which is one of the most hyped up races each year.
