With the 2024 NFL Draft looming in Detroit, this years draft is one of the tougher drafts to predict within the top 15. Many teams are QB needy however, only 1 prospect is truly destined and predicted to be great. Caleb Williams is the obvious first overall pick this year, however after that everything is shaky. This years class does have some blue chip prospects after Caleb such as, Joe Alt, Rome Odunze, Mali Nabers, Brock Bowers, Dallas Turner and Terrion Arnold. There are some older players in the Draft this year that have battled injuries, been in the portal or have had shaky college careers. This draft in Sports Vibes opinion features a lot of project pieces after day 1. Guys that could be superstars if given the proper development. Don't sleep on the day 2/3 picks, that is where teams are made.

In this mock draft, a few trades take place. The Vikings use their 2 1st round picks to trade up for JJ McCarthy. The other trade see the Raiders trading back into the 1st round to take a sliding Michael Penix Jr. That would mean the Lions skip out on Day 1 in front of their home crowd. If Penix falls into the late 1st round teams such as the Raiders, Broncos, Rams, could trade back in to take the Washington Huskie alum.

Our Day 1 winners in this mock would be the Cardinals, Chargers, and the Broncos. For Arizona they get difference makers on both sides and finally get Kyler some legit help. Kool-Aid may struggle in his rookie season, but he could develop into a superstar at a position the Card's need. The Chargers getting 2 firsts and still walking away with a quality OT would be a dream scenario for LA and could keep them in the Wild Card fight. Denver getting Rome Odunze as a reliable target for Zach Wilson will help Zach but more importantly set up the next franchise QB to come into a place with an already legit WR.
